Have you ever heard someone say, “All religions are the same”? Let’s see.
Roman Catholics believe that bread turns into the human flesh of Jesus and must be sacrificed and eaten repeatedly to receive salvation. They also believe Mary was as sinless as Jesus and is now the Queen of Heaven.
Muslims do not believe Jesus is God. They believe the cross of Christ is a myth (Jesus did not die at all nor resurrect), Paul is a liar, and Muhammad miraculously split the moon.
Mormons believe Jesus Christ to be one of many gods. They do not worship him as the one and only true God of eternity. You can become a god through your good works.
Hindus consider cows sacred, worship golden statues, and still sacrifice thousands of animals to appease their many gods. There is no resurrection, only reincarnation.
Buddhists revere Buddha but not an eternal personal god. Their lesser gods are born, age, and die. They cannot save you. Only good works and enlightenment can save you from a perpetual cycle of suffering.
Biblical Christianity teaches that none are without sin. Jesus Christ is the only true God manifest in the flesh. Commending his love, he died on the cross as a payment for your sins once and for all. He rose from the dead to grant you eternal life as a free gift. You are saved from sin and death by grace, his finished work, through faith, not your good works.
Anyone who tells you all religions are the same, or that all religions lead to God, is ignorant about all religions (and God).
The only thing all religions have in common is their inability to save you from sin and death. For that, you must trust the gospel of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ (Rom 1:16).
Don’t suffer fools. Flee idolatry.
For Life eternal,
